Temple Dress Code

All Angkor temples enforce a strict dress code. Visitors not properly dressed will be turned away at the entrance.

  • ✅ Shoulders must be covered
  • ✅ Knees must be covered
  • ✅ Lightweight long pants or skirt
  • ✅ T-shirt or blouse (no tank tops)
  • ❌ Shorts, mini-skirts, sleeveless tops
  • 💡 We provide sarongs if needed
💵

Money & Payments

Cambodia runs primarily on US dollars. Riel is used for small change only.

  • USD accepted everywhere in Siem Reap
  • Riel change given for amounts under $1
  • ATMs widely available on Pub Street
  • Tour payment: Cash · ABA Bank · PayPal
  • 💡 Bring small USD bills ($1, $5, $10)
🌦

Best Time to Visit

Siem Reap has two distinct seasons — both have upsides for temple visitors.

  • Nov – Mar: Cool & dry · Best overall
  • Apr – May: Hot & dry · Fewer tourists
  • Jun – Oct: Rainy season · Lush & green
  • Sunrise tours run year-round
  • 💡 Wet season = dramatic skies for photos
🤝

Tipping Culture

Tipping is not mandatory but is deeply appreciated by guides, drivers, and service staff.

  • Guide: $5–10 per day (suggested)
  • Driver: $2–5 per day (suggested)
  • Restaurant: Round up or leave $1–2
  • Hotel porter: $1 per bag
  • 💡 Always tip in USD and Riel
🛡

Health & Safety

Siem Reap is a safe and welcoming destination. A few simple precautions will keep you comfortable.

  • Drink bottled water only (provided on tour)
  • Sunscreen essential — tropical UV is strong
  • Insect repellent at dawn & dusk
  • Nearest hospital: Royal Angkor International
  • Emergency: dial 119 (police) / 023 724 891

FAQ

Questions We Get Every Day

Can't find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp — we reply within the hour.

You purchase the Angkor Pass yourself at the official ticket centre on the road to Angkor Wat (opens 5:00 AM). A 1-day pass costs $37, 3-day $62, and 7-day $72. We drive you there first before starting the tour. We cannot sell passes on your behalf — this is a government regulation. We accept USD cash or card at the ticket counter.

All our tour prices include: a licensed expert guide (English-speaking), private air-conditioned vehicle, hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere in Siem Reap, and bottled water throughout. Not included: Angkor Pass, meals, personal travel insurance, or tips. Check each tour's detail panel for the full inclusion list.

Absolutely — early morning pickups are our speciality. The Angkor Sunrise tour starts at 5:00 AM from your hotel. We confirm the exact time the evening before based on that day's sunrise schedule. We pick up from all hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnbs in Siem Reap town.

We operate rain or shine — the temples are incredible in any weather and light rain actually keeps crowds away. We carry umbrellas and ponchos for all guests. In the rare event of a severe tropical storm that makes visiting unsafe, we will reschedule at no extra charge or offer a full refund. Rainy season (June–October) produces the most dramatic photography light.

Every single tour we offer is 100% private — just your group and your guide. We never mix strangers into the same tour. This means we can adjust the pace, skip sites you're not interested in, spend extra time where you want, and tailor every detail to your group on the day.

We accept: USD cash (most common), ABA Bank transfer, and PayPal. Payment is made after the tour — we trust our guests. For large groups or multi-day bookings, we may ask for a small deposit to reserve your dates. We do not accept Stripe at this time.

Yes — we calibrate every tour to the needs of your group. We have guided guests from age 3 to 85. For children, we use age-appropriate storytelling and choose routes with manageable distances. For elderly guests, we avoid steep climbs (or make them optional) and build in extra rest time. Just let us know your group's needs when booking.

Yes — we offer free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your tour start time. For cancellations within 24 hours, a 50% fee applies (to cover guide and vehicle costs already committed). No-shows are charged in full. Message us on WhatsApp as early as possible and we will always do our best to accommodate you.

Our primary guiding language is English. We also offer tours in French, Khmer (Cambodian), and basic Mandarin Chinese. If you need a specific language, please mention it when booking and we will confirm availability. All guides are government-licensed and have studied Angkor's history for many years.
